Dear friends and readers:

I’ve been elated with the support Whore of Turfan has received from all of you.  Whore of Turfan will continue to be available to read online for free—but we’re taking a short hiatus for the summer.

This is mostly due to my commitments elsewhere –

I have a new digital title out called Loud Snow that’s going to print in June. This means a period of promoting, overseeing pre-press, and all sorts of things that take up my free time in the evenings; I work outside of publishing M-F, and my weekends will now be spent this summer on launching an online magazine for a publisher—that, on top of my obligations to appear at San Japan in July – and still take two weeks off to spend time with my family on vacation.

Also – MT will be working a full time job this summer, which puts a kink into her time to work on Turfan pages – this will also lighten Lissa’s load since she is a prolific blogger/reviewer of manga titles.

Whore of Turfan is a work in progress, not only for me to develop as a digest ‘webcomic’ writer [which I’m still learning is not easy!], but also for MT to develop as a sequential artist. Unless we can get together on occasion, and work on chapters beforehand – it’s nearly impossible to put out the comic that we want to – so in good faith, we’d rather take a hiatus until the summer ends, and all three of us are back on track with the series, and devoting time to it.

Please come back September – we’ll be here, as will Chagantai, the Rus, and the Mongols!
