TURFAN CHAPTER TWO! OMGZ I’M STILL HERE! There were several times where even I thought I wasn’t gonna get this far… real life drama kept kicking my ass, moving and job hunting and- yeah, crap you don’t care about I know but thanks for humoring me lol. Sorry for giving you a heart attack so many times Tina with the ominous ‘artist needs to speak to you’ DUN DUN DUN. More often then not it was dumb questions but T is the Boss lady on this magical adventure so I try my best to run everything by her first if time permits. ^_^;

Alright! I’m on page ten of Turfan and going strong! Thanks for reading so far, Tina has really got a great story done for this comic so I hope you’re in for the long haul cuz this is going to be quite a ride.
Turfan are already starting to grow on me and, well, I already have a favorite. Let’s see if you can figure out who it is >_>; I already doodle them in my sketch book heh, that’s how ya know I’m in deep. This Atogaki page is going to be some sketches and me rambling, I promise I’ll try and do something a little more in depth for the next one.
Random Q and A!
1. Which character is the hardest to draw?
KASPAROV. All that hair and junk…and in the end he still looked like a sheep dog, despite my best efforts. Moisalav is second hardest and that’s quite a problem as he is the main character of sorts a heh. Sorry Moi! I’ll have to practice you more.
2. How long does it take you to do a (rough) page?
Sketching out the layout and thumbnails takes the longest, if I got a good feel for the pages from Tina’s thumbnails it only takes about an hour or so, but if I’m having trouble with pacing or something it can take 2 or 3 just to get roughs to look right.
I like lots of humor and craziness in my Manga, heh, of which Tina openly admits isn’t her cup of tea so I’ll do my best to make things as funny as I can whenever I can! And when it’s appropriate, Tina seems to be cool with that. Turfan is a historical romance sorta dealie so I’ll show some self control so the real story can unfold. : 3
Now onto the good stuff! About the characters.
Moi is the main character but it seems to be in Boris’s character to steal the show, he seems to be a born leader of sorts? But is he a good one? That’s what remains to be seen of course. I feel kinda sorry for Moi. He loves Boris so he kinda gets a bit bullied I guess. Wether Boris means to or not, I think he kinda takes advantage of the fact that Moi cares for him so much. Oh well hang in there Moi! I know you’re the star.
I can’t wait to do some of the fight scenes! I’m gonna try and make them epic, as this is a period piece, and real men with your steel swords and iron wills to win the day! Sure it’s romanticized old ideal, but i’m a feudal nut. I love knights and armor and samurais with Kitanas ect. I really want to draw the Mongols as I’ve always loved their culture, so I’m happy they will be in the story soon. : D
The below drawings are just some things I thought suited the characters that weren’t cannon to the story heh, hence the angel wings and cat boi’s ect. I think Ermak would be an awesome hitman, not like the video game one or golgo 13 or anything, I dunno maybe for the right price and if it was for a good cause? Can you tell I go to far into my own delusions? Heh, in any case enjoy and I hope I get to talk to you again soon!
